Since getting the replacement M1 Pro, I have found that Sharing does not work. I also have an Intel MacMini on Monterey which also had no issue accessing all the files on the old 2013 Pro. When it is in use I use an M1 MacBook Air on Monterey and work on the master files using Sharing. M1 MacBook Pro on Monterey will not share files I have just replaced a 2013 Pro with a MacBook M1 14" Pro. Has anyone encountered this and found a solution? Since Synology has told me that the process worked on Mojave with SMB, perhaps the issue is with the Apple SMB functionality. I have an older Western Digital M圜loud NAS on which I can alter NAS folder icons. This screenshot shows the procedure normally used to modify folder icons with a source (on left) and target (on right): This screenshot shows that shared folders at the root level were able to have modified folder icons (the Synology shares in question were changed to a green drive icon): Has anyone encountered this issue? I can modify the icon for the "root" level folders on the DS118, but not with sub-folders within those "root" folders. Based on this, Synology believes the issue is with Finder, not the NAS. If the folder is mounted in Finder with AFP instead, then changing the icon works just fine. I have communicated with Synology and they believe it is a Finder problem and that icon modification worked with Mojave, but not with Big Sur and Monterey. Normally, I can open "information" windows for two folders in MacOs. Clicking on the icon image of the source folder enables copying the folder icon. Then clicking on the target folder icon and pasting results in the target folder icon being changed. With my DS118, this method does not work as pasting is not available. I have full access permissions on the DS118. I am unable to change/modify shared folder icons on the Synology DS118. The root level does appear to allow for modifying shared folders, but subfolders can't be modified.
